2014 NISSAN Versa Sedan – NISSAN Intelligent Key® (if so equipped)

Without removing the Intelligent Key from your pocket or purse, you can lock or unlock doors, and open the trunk.

To unlock the vehicle, push this request switch on the door handle. That door will now unlock. Push the switch again within five seconds, to unlock all doors and the trunk.

To lock your vehicle, push any door handle’s request switch once, after all doors have been closed.

These lock and unlock functions are operational when the Intelligent Key is within about 2 ½ feet of a request switch.

To open the trunk, push this trunk opener request switch just above the license plate.

The Intelligent Key can also be used to activate the panic alarm by pressing this button for more than a half second. The panic alarm will sound and headlights will stay on for a period of time.

Your Intelligent Key is also equipped with all the functions of the Remote Entry system for operating the door locks.

To prevent accidentally locking your key inside the vehicle, your Intelligent Key has lockout protection. If you exit with the Intelligent key inside, it will unlock all doors immediately and sound a warning chime as soon as you close the door.

In a rare instance when your Intelligent Key battery is discharged, you can still use the Mechanical Key to lock or unlock the vehicle.

You’ll find the Mechanical Key concealed on the back of the Intelligent Key. To remove it, release the lock knob on the back of the Intelligent Key and slide the Mechanical Key out. Then insert the Mechanical Key into the key cylinder on the driver’s door and turn to lock or unlock the vehicle.

As many as four keys can be used with one vehicle, provided the Intelligent Keys are registered with the Nissan Dealer prior to use with the Intelligent Key system.

The Intelligent Key contains sensitive electrical components. Please avoid these circumstances that could affect its operation:

• Avoid dropping or striking it against another object
• Keep it away from water
• Keep it away from equipment with magnetic fields, including computers, cell phones, TVs and audio accessories
• Avoid using a key chain that contains a magnet
