You can set a destination using Google™ POIs (points of interest). Before this feature can be used for the first time you must register an account from the Info Services screen. See your Navigation Owner’s manual for more information on registering your account.
To set a destination using a Google ™ POI:
• Push the NAV button
• Press the destination key
• Press the “POIs Powered by Google™” key
o The display will then show the touch keyboard.
o Enter the name of the place to search, for example “MCDONALDS”
o The search results are displayed on a list.
• Press the desired entry on the touchscreen and a detailed description of the destination will display on the screen.
o If the destination is not the one you want, press the BACK button to go back.
o If you wish to store this destination, press the STORE key.
• Press the MAP key to show a map of the destination chosen.
• Press the START key to calculate the route to the selected destination.
To set a destination using a Google ™ POI using the Voice Recognition System:
• Push the PHONE SEND button on the steering wheel
• When prompted, say “NAVIGATION”
• And then say “POIs Powered by Google™”
o The display will then show the touch keyboard.
o Enter the name of the place to search, for example “MCDONALDS”
o The search results are displayed on a list.
• Press the desired entry on the touchscreen and a detailed description of the destination will display on the screen.
o If the destination is not the one you want, press the BACK button to go back.
o If you wish to store this destination, press the STORE key.
• Press the MAP key to show a map of the destination chosen.
• Press the START key to calculate the route to the selected destination
