The Worst Cars Ever

There are some really great cars out there. You won’t find them on this list. Here are some of the worst cars ever.

1. 1958 Zundapp Janus

This car had a 14-horsepower engine that accelerated slower than a bicycle going uphill. The top speed for this little car was fifty miles per hour.

2. 1966 Peel Trident

The Peel Trident looked like a bubble with wheels and was even slower than the Zundapp Janus. It was also possibly the worst thing to get in a wreck in.

3. 1971 Ford Pinto

The Ford Pinto makes this list for many reasons, but the main one is that it was prone to explosions when hit from the rear. The rear-mounted fuel tank design choice cost Ford quite a lot of money in lawsuits.

4. 1971 Chevrolet Vega

It’s a shame that the Vega always leaked oil and had countless other mechanical problems, because it isn’t all that terrible to look at. This car convinced many American buyers in 1971 to purchase a foreign car.

5. 1978 Fiat Strada

This car was known as a bad car to own even before it was allowed to be purchased. Early reviews of the vehicle gave the car poor ratings for good reason.

6. 1981 Delorean DMC-12

This car looked fast but it really wasn’t. Also, if you got in a wreck your car would be totaled and you would not live to buy a safer, faster vehicle.

7. 1984 Maserati Biturbo

This car was cool when it wasn’t in the shop. It’s known for having almost every problem that a car can have. It’s hard to drive a cool car when it won’t run.

8. 1987 Yugo

Known around the world as a complete and utter failure, the Serbian-made copy of the Fiat 127 is possibly the worst car ever made.

9. 2001 Pontiac Aztek

An ugly car that drives worse than it looks, the Pontiac Aztek is the worst thing General Motors ever put out under the Pontiac name.

10. 2003 Saturn Ion

Known for its cheap components and ugly interior, the Saturn Ion was a major blunder by General Motors.
